Verbascum Seed ( Perennial )
Seedman Basic Info:
Easy to grow. Dead head once flowered so that new leaves, and stems can be produced.
Can be container grown.
Verbascums are statuesque in both foliage and flower. Each leaf can be up to 1 foot long and nearly half as wide. They lie flat on the ground, like an open fan. From this solid base the flower stems rise, several to each plant, often reaching 3-to 4-feet high, they are tightly surrounded with white open-faced flowers.
The plants add upward movement to the garden with their groups of spiky flower stalks that look like a floral candelabrum. Their height and strong architectural qualities help to fill an otherwise visual void with eye-catching interest.
